FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 13, 2023
Tips for voting
Clallam County – Ballots will be mailed to all Clallam County active registered voters on October 18, 2023, for the November 7, 2023, General Election. Washington State Elections are Vote by Mail. And our office would like to offer a few tips to ensure your ballot is easily processed and counted.
Tips for Voting:
• Read the ballot, envelope, and voters’ pamphlet carefully.
• Completely fill in the oval next to your choice.
• We will count only those races for which you voted, and your ballot will be processed even if you don’t vote for each race.
• Remove and recycle the stub at the top of the ballot.
• Sign the declaration on the back of the return envelope.
• Do not put multiple ballots in one envelope.
• Return your ballot via mail or Official Drop Box.
Participating registered voters have two easy and secure options for returning their ballots: through the mail or by dropping off at a secured Official Ballot Drop Box. Washington’s Elections postage-paid Ballot Return Envelope makes the voting process convenient for many voters. Returned Envelopes must be postmarked on or before election day. Please check with your local post office for their business hours. Official Ballot Drop Boxes also offer easy return for ballots. Clallam County has nine Official Ballot Drop Boxes located throughout Clallam County. Official Ballot Drop Boxes are available beginning 20 days before election day and are open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
We are hoping you like the new look of our Official Ballot Drop Boxes. The Drop Boxes have a new bold red and blue design, unifying and distinguishing each box as a Clallam County Official Ballot Drop Box.
