Does the future of our state, county, cities, and communities matter to you? Or are you planning on “jumping ship” to another state and considering this one a lost cause? We understand that many conservatives have moved out of our state already. Abandoning what is happening here under the misguided idea that nothing they can do will change the state.
Unfortunately, so many people bought the lie of “our vote doesn’t matter” and stopped voting, stopped being involved politically, and turned their backs on what is going on. While they took a step back, the liberal agenda caught steam; moving forward bad policies and agendas that are even more devastating. We are disheartened. We recognize the system is broken. We know they are stealing our children and aiming to destroy any future generations from existing. They are working to tear apart the family and make the government “mommy and daddy” rather than allow strong family ties to exist. Rather than seeing more conservatives with morals and common sense, they are working hard to destroy the slimmest possibility they will be independent and free to think and make their own choices.
We have watched while they are inundating our children with racist policies that divide them based on the color of their skin, rather than rewarding moral aptitude. They are disguising these under labels like “equity”, and “critical race theory” bringing explicit sexual content into the classroom of our kindergarteners as teaching something that parents can’t teach. They are inadvertently grooming children to be victims.
They are stealing childhoods and we are letting them. There are so many people who are sitting quietly on the sidelines, hands in their heads, letting things get worse and crying out, “There is nothing I can do!”
I want to share a secret with you. There IS something YOU can do. There is something your family, friends, and like-minded neighbors CAN do. However, you have to be willing. What is this secret? You can run for a local office. You can support local conservative candidates. You can start non-political conversations with people across the aisle and get to know them. Share what is going on, have a discussion, and learn where they are coming from. Hear them out and start a discussion. We have to stop being the silent majority and we need to make some noise. We need to encourage people to vote.
If you think your vote doesn’t matter, by not voting, you have made that a reality. The more people who refuse to vote; the more these devastating policies will continue. Further, we have to unite behind our candidates. We have to stop splitting the ticket and get conservatives into office. If we are to see a change in our state, it begins at a local level.
It begins with you.
